My work is about bringing the invisible into the tangible
world. This subject is intriguing because of my involvement with people who cannot explain what they experience in their heads. Perhaps making it a physical object can help. Seeing a drawing that portrays a specific emotion, something that is usually invisible, allows us to be more mindful by acknowledging and accepting it as real rather than imaginary or intangible. I give physicality to the unseen through use of color, as well as gentle and agitated gestural mark-making on simply designed forms, and interaction through communication between the art and viewer, creating conversation and nourishment between viewers.
